An advanced present for me.....

Just a day before my birthday, Toshiba sent me an advance birthday gift, by announcing that they will cease the development and sales of HD-DVD products, after 4 major studios moved to Blu Ray format exclusively followed by Best Buy & Walmart deciding to sell BluRay products only.

With the lack of support from the big boys, Toshiba finally made the announcement to retreat from the format war. So now BluRay will reign the High Definition industry.... for now until HD downloads becomes a reality.

Why am I so happy? Cos I can expect a Transformers movie in BluRay format coming out in a not so distant future :)

Now I'm definitely assured that my PS3 will not be a white elephant as well haha. More details below:
