Gentlemen, start your engine....
I left the bike with Norman of RaceWerkz to help me assess what are the stuffs that i need to replace/fix. Left the bike with him in the evening, he called me later that night (11 plus! He had been examining my bike till so late... Real hardcore bike lover), telling me that my bike conditions. From his descriptions, i realised that the mechanic at Motoworld had previously screwed up my:
- air/fuel ratio setting (Norman mentioned that the mixture is not normal)
- sponge found INSIDE the carb!
- choke lever bent
- floating pin position totally wrongly assembled
i was like "wow, this is uber fucked up", since i had trusted motoworld in the past and ended up they had done such substandard job. To think that i had rode the bike in that screwed up setup for more than a year! Can't blame me. From normal riding, you can't tell what went wrong inside the carb. Of course, knowing that most mechanics usually don't do good repair jobs, i just pray that Norman don't disappoint me as well.
Things that i had done to the bike:
- changed carb manifolds
- changed floating pins
- changed timing chain auto tensioner
- adjusted valve clearance
- tuned and balanced the carb.
With all these, the bill set me back at 500 plus which is considered cheap. Thank god the timing chain guide rods are still working fine, or else Norman had to take the whole engine apart, which is as good as performing an engine overhaul. If that happens, my pocket will be burnt beyond recognition.
now had been riding the bike for 2 days, it felt the engine has indeed much smoother and responsive, although it's not a hugh leap in performance, and of course, very significant drop in the valve knocking noise. I didn't realised that Norman had gone the extra mile to top up my coolant for the radiator without charging a cent. That's very nice of him. So far, it seems that he had done a good job...

What the fuck!!?!
Ya, it is true. I saw this stall at the hawker centre when i and my woman went to get our lunch this afternoon. Despite the un-matching name, the boss does cook very nice western food. My dear, being a fussy woman, actually commented that the food is good. Portion is generous too.
However, those fussy gourmets who thinks their tastes are in a class of their own, avoid this stall at all costs as you will just invite yourselves unnecessary displeasure and most importantly, irritate others. For commoners like my woman, friends and me, the food is really decent.

What N95 can do.....
Navigating on SG road...
Explained in some european language (probably German) but visually you can see what it is capable of...
Of course I won't be getting it since I prefer Clamshell phones (N93) so why I wanna post N95 entry?
To make Angkuguay's hands itchy lah LOL....
Yawns.....
Unable to fetch Dear home from driving centre anymore, i took the bus home. What usually took me less than 30 mins to reach home now took almost an hour to arrive. Actually wanted to kill time by playing PSP but noticed that the battery is totally drained out. I must have forgotten to switch off on the previous night. No choice, i played with the phone camera and took this shot which is the interior of the bus i'm travelling in. Of course i can't play with the camera for too long as the phone is not suited to take photos secretly. So i just catch some sleep until i reach my destination. My N93 went haywire.....
My N93 went haywire.....
Sun 04/02/2007: I had difficulty smsing, surfing net, even taking photos and videos! Did i got myself a defective phone?
Hell no! The phone had been working properly since day one i got the phone from the last owner. I tried sms using phone memory, take photos using phone memory, still no good. The phone seems to be loading something and appears to hang, but it's not. Switching off and on the phone don't help either. When i reached home, i tried copying the contents on the memory card to a new 2gb memory my dear let me get. Still, same shit. Then something struck me! I went to the podcast folder and delete the video downloaded thru the podcast subscription and guess wat? It worked like magic! Everything is now back to full speed. In fact i found sms and other features had become very snappy. I gathered that the card MUST be formatted using the phone and not the pc and the card name is limited to 5 characters (the former card used 6). Now everything's back to normal and i'm a happy man again :)

Sat 03/02/2007: That's the best you can do? This guy had been suffering from Blog Deficiency Withdrawal Syndrome. He might have been denying but those who went to get the stuffs for his new pc rig knows that he can't wait to get to system running on his work desk. So, what does his pc and his withdrawal have to do with my blog? Well. Apparently i and Damien are the ones who deliver him from this agony. He had asked me to help him set up the pc since his laptop had kaputted. So after showing him several setup suggestions, he finally settled for an AMD system, which is cheaper than the Intel one. Still it's a dual core system which i think is good enough for what's he's doing. We decided to get everything from one shop so we choose Fuwell, which has a pretty good reputation for IT parts. The actual price was lower than what i had quoted him as the prices there always fluctuates. Since there are many savings involved, i changed the RAM to a high performance type. Avril then go with my dear to get the disney keyboard which of course, not we guys' cup of tea (no choice, she's your wife lol)
Once we brought the stuff back to his house, we start the operation as we wanted to go for dinner then chill out. Although the setup of hardware is pretty straightforward, the installation of the new OS is the real pain in the ass. The first few attempts couldn't get the pc to install the new Windows Vista so we decide to go for dinner since we are already hungry and Charlie wanted to get the LAN cable. So after the dinner. I tried with some tweaking on the RAM, i finally got it to work. After the installation, we were wow-ed by the interface of the new OS. it is certainly a very nice software with a lot of eye candy but for me, it'll be a year before i change to Vista since the gaming experience still suck on it. By the time i'm done, my dear and Avril already walking like zombies so we quickly left his house so he can rest. However something tells me that he will continue playing with his new toy and to my expectation, he was blogging! Lol!

Thu 01/02/2007: What do you think when you have to sit at the waiting hall of a driving centre for more than 1 and a half hours? But i'm willing to do it, since it's because my dear go for driving lesson and i am fetching her from work to this school. Usually i will kill time playing psp while waiting for her, and this time still the same, except that i'm taking a shot of this boring school with the N93 and decided to post it up.
